One step forwards, 38 hundred million trillion gazillion back :|

Since i last posted, a loooooong while back, shit has hit the fan.

well, the fabia has just decided that like a vicious dog its going to turn around and bite its owner.

It all started with the clutch slipping, this obviously needed addressing so a new clutch was bought. keeping in line with Lances theory of break it upgrade it, i went for a single mass flywheel conversion instead of the unreliable expensive to replace dual mass flywheel option.

After a long hard day Ben, Shaun and me, with the support of others managed to wrestle the gearbox off of the fabia, replace the clutch and reassemble, all in time for tea and a beer.

So all good so far right besides shelling out for the clutch?

Wrong!!!

Snapped a bolt on the lower engine mount :/ down to the motor factors to find a suitable replacement.

of course bad things do happen in threes……… but when?

Anyhows, it was commnnup to MOT time so a few little things needed “adjusting”. Tyres were on the limit so it was on to a different set of wheels for the MOT, inner and outer CV boots on the passenegers side needed replacing. On jacking the car up i found a snapped droplink….. so that was number 3. Several discussions with others and a final word with Joshua saw him coming over with an angle grinder to take the antiroll bar out, who needs it, its impossible to body roll anyways.

By now it was MOT friendly, YAY.

Untill Possibly the worst thing ever to happen to that poor car yet, happened. Driving to Joshes i hit a cats eye with the bottom of the gearbox and it sent a nice crack all the way round the box, along with taking out a nice chunk of the gearbox casting in which a bolt used to sit.

I am now a pretty mad, out of pocket person. i had to buy a new gearbox, and pretty quickly as being without a car isnt all that great. Not only that but i have to fight with the old gearbox again to take it off, for the 2nd time in 6 weeks :/ tempted to fit a short shifter or something before the new one goes in……. hmmmmm.

anyways the new box arrived yestrday, and here she is…….

Hopefully it will go in this sunday without to much of a struggle, fingers crossed.

Now im pretty sure that bad spell is now over, so on to better things, i think i may have sorted out a pretty cheap remap, its only a generic map but it will see me by for a bit, im desperate to change the coulour of the wheels, the bronze hasnt grown on me at all yet, And im gonna get my arse into gear with some minor front bumper work and some interior bits n bobs.

Watch this space ;)

It’s been too long…

I have not posted in what feels like forever, but that’s simply because nothing of great importance has happened. Until now!

Since selling the more door I treated the GTI to a set of coilovers, and took a club hammer to the arches to tuck some tyre on the 17″ Audi’s. Slung the vento front end on it and the red rear lights and had some fun with the power… Racing cams and full Miltek system sound quite throaty :)

Anyway! Here’s the start of the next installment. Bit of a Death March…

Peace!

a one series <3

dont see nearly enough of these stanced.

diego’s pent up rage

Been a while since i’ve posted, not a great deal’s been going on enough to put anything up on here. Progress on my golf’3 is slowly but surely getting there.. homebrew airride is definitely on the cards though.

We went to early edition and our Lance took a pretty baller photo which was nice, happy that archgaps been closed. Going to try Liam’s th-lines on before they go on his scirocco to see whats what, as the wheels need to change i think.

Went to college and got stuck where i parked it, lit the tyres up and realised later on it had sheared and bent one of the bolts in the engine mount which was very uncool. I had already ordered a new mount after a similar thing happened a few weeks ago but that i recified. fuck it though may as well put the new one on with a new set of bolts. i made it shiny and everything.

job done, diego’s happy now..running smoother than he ever has on this engine. purring like a kitten!

Early Edition 2012

Time for another show!

Im not enjoying how quickly this year seems to be passing by, already on our second show and it still appears to be winter… :(

Fortunately sunday just happened to be the first day in the last two weeks it hasn’t rained, so we had to make the most of it - Cars out, cleaned and en route chasing the warm weather!

As this is another show my car wasn’t attending and riding shotgun with Dan in the 6R GTi, I used this as a chance to put my recent hella-wide angle purchase for my camera to good use on some rolling shots and video..

Josh got the GTi sitting proper on the TH Lines over the weekend just in time and Shaun’s brought the back down abit more..

Tomm finally has a new single mass clutch and the front end down on the VRS now..

Ash’s old more-door, is now in the hands of our good friend George on some soon to be bought Snowflakes  and with a mk3 front end again..

ran out of dual carriageway before i managed to photograph the others lol.

We met up with Lance and his convoy and got our show game, awwn…

I shot video and came up with this..

Whilst Lance shot stills.

Enjoy!

Luke’s got a Chevvy

So we were bored last night and decided to ditch the dubs and ball..

U.S. Style!

Im not gunna lie, its abit of an animal…

purely for poo’s and laugh’s because i had my camera with me. Courtesy cars are the best thing ever!

Now this thing came in 4×100 fitment, so… well, this happened.

If any proud, future Spark+ owners out there are actually considering getting dish then etO 15×8′s will require extensive arch work.
